Plant-led rituals for modern life
reclaim reawaken return to your joy
Mantra was created by founder Cat Anderson as a response to the pace and pressure of modern life.
Drawing on years of lived experience, facilitation and engagement with plant medicine research and advocacy in South Africa, Mantra was shaped to offer a different way of relating to wellbeing; one rooted in respect, restraint and relationship.
This is not about promises or fixes. It is about working with plants thoughtfully, sharing what is known, acknowledging what is still emerging and creating offerings that support presence rather than performance.
Mantra is guided by care, not urgency. This is Cat’s ongoing, evolving offering. From Mother to me to you, with love.
Choose the plant that speaks to the moment you’re in. Whether you’re seeking calm, vitality, repair or connection, there is a plant ready to support you. Our ritual-ready offerings are created for clarity, calm, vitality and nourishment — each designed to be returned to over time. Not rushed. Not over-explained. Simply worked with, gently and consistently.
Support for the whole experience of being human
Wellbeing is not one thing. It is the way we sleep, focus, feel, move and respond to the world around us. Mantra offerings are created with this in mind. They are not interventions, but companions. Plants you work with gently, consistently and with intention. From functional mushrooms to ceremonial botanicals, each offering supports a different doorway into presence and balance.
For the mind
Plants traditionally associated with clarity, attention and thoughtful focus, chosen to support the way we think, learn and create.
For the nervous system
Botanicals historically used to soften stress responses and support emotional steadiness during demanding seasons.
For vitality
Offerings traditionally valued for nourishment, stamina and sustained energy without urgency or excess.
Plant-powered, not plant-promised
We approach plants with respect rather than expectation.
Some have a growing body of modern research. Others are carried forward through culture, ceremony and intergenerational knowledge. Both matter.
Mantra exists in the space between science and tradition. We share what is known, acknowledge what is still unfolding and avoid language that turns plants into products with guarantees.
This is about relationship, not results.
Rituals for life
Ritual does not have to be elaborate. Sometimes it is a pause before the evening begins. A breath before a long day. A moment of care woven quietly into routine. Mantra offerings are designed to fit into real lives, imperfect days and changing seasons.
The Mantra Ethos
Ancient Wisdom, Modern Rituals
Presence over performance
We value slowing down enough to notice what the body and mind are already communicating. Attention, rather than optimisation, shapes how we understand wellbeing and how we choose to engage with plants.
Tradition with integrity
We honour plant lineages and the cultural histories they carry, while staying transparent about what modern research does and does not yet tell us. Both ways of knowing matter, and neither is overstated.
Care without urgency
Wellbeing is not a race. We design offerings that support steadiness over time, favouring consistency, gentleness and relationship rather than pressure or quick outcomes.
A respectful boundary
Mantra offerings are not medicines and are not intended to replace medical care. Pharmaceuticals and clinical support can be necessary and life-saving for many people. Our role is to offer plant-based support for general wellbeing, within a broader context of personal responsibility and informed choice. If you are managing a health condition or considering changes to medication, consultation with a qualified healthcare professional is encouraged.
A shared language of care
Mantra is shaped through conversation, community and shared curiosity about how we care for ourselves and one another. This is an evolving body of work, rooted as much in listening as in offering.
